Best Time Ltd is recruiting reliable Van Delivery Drivers for the Christmas peak period. You will deliver parcels, complete collections and transport bulk consignments, with routes that may be multi-drop or collection/bulk.

Typical shifts start between 7:30am and 10:00am, lasting up to 10 hours, with around 80 stops on multi-drop routes or 30 stops on collection/bulk routes. UK driving licence required; driving assessment and interview before starting.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Must be able to pass a driving assessment.
• Must be willing to attend a short interview.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking, with a positive attitude.
• Comfortable working independently and managing a delivery route.

Best Time Ltd is recruiting reliable and hardworking Van Delivery Drivers to support increased demand during the Christmas peak period.

You will be responsible for delivering parcels, completing collections and transporting bulk consignments. Depending on operational requirements and your capability, you may be assigned to a multi-drop delivery route or a collection/bulk route.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver parcels to customers safely and efficiently.
• Complete collections and bulk deliveries as required.
• Load and unload parcels safely, following the correct procedures.
• Follow assigned routes and ensure deliveries and collections are completed on time.
• Return to the depot as required throughout the shift.
• Provide a professional and reliable service to customers.
• Work independently while maintaining good time management and organisation.

Working Hours and Routes

Multi-Drop Delivery Routes

• Start time between 7:30am and 10:00am.
• Shifts will typically last at least 8 hours, with the potential to work up to 10 hours.
• Finish time will depend on completion of the assigned route.
• Approximately 80 delivery stops may be expected, depending on the route and driver's capability.

Collection/Bulk Routes

• Working hours: 9:30 am – 6:00 pm.
• Approximately 30 stops per shift, including trips to and from the depot.

Pay Rates

• Basic rate: £13.00 per hour.
• Overtime rate: £19.50 per hour for hours worked after completing 40 hours in the working week.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Must be able to pass a driving assessment.
• Must be willing to attend a short interview.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking, with a positive attitude.
• Comfortable working independently and managing a delivery route.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet delivery deadlines.

Recruitment Checks

• A driving assessment and short interview are required before starting.
• Driving licence checks will be carried out regularly throughout the assignment.
• A DBS check is not required for this position.
