Job summary

Albion Fine Foods is seeking delivery drivers to join our Transport team at the Dartford site. You will deliver customer orders safely and on time, maintain vehicle readiness, and build strong relationships with customers across your route.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, reliability, and good geographical knowledge of London and the south east. Shifts are 5 days a week, including weekends, with start times between 3am and 6am.

Qualifications

• Valid, full UK manual driving licence (essential)
• Experience in a delivery or driving role desirable
• Experience of delivering exceptional customer-service in a customer-facing environment
• Good geographical knowledge of London and the south east
• Confident driving in urban and regional areas
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong time management and attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 25kg
• Due to insurance restrictions: licence with no serious endorsements and no more than 6 penalty points in last 5 years

• Complete mandatory vehicle checks and report defects to Transport management
• Maintain a clean and fuelled vehicle, ready for next day
• Unload orders at site, ensuring delivery notes followed
• Collect orders from customers and suppliers as required by Purchasing
• Adhere to road safety regulations and company policies
• Deliver orders in a polite, professional, and customer-focused manner
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers across your route
• Represent Albion positively as the trusted face of the business

Description

Our delivery drivers are responsible for the safe, timely and professional delivery of customer orders from our Dartford site. As a key operational role within the Transport team, the driver ensures that goods are delivered in accordance with company standards and customer expectations, while maintaining compliance with road safety regulations and internal procedures.

This role requires a high level of personal responsibility, reliability, and customer focus. Drivers are expected to build strong relationships with customers, becoming a trusted and consistent point of contact. By managing a cluster of routes, the driver contributes to service continuity, customer satisfaction, and the overall reputation of Albion Fine Foods.

Shifts:

5 days a week, including weekends, start times between 3am and 6am

Salary:

£29,278 per annum

Time Off

30 days holiday + 22 additional days off (or trade them in for extra pay!)

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Complete mandatory vehicle checks and report any defects to the Transport management team.

• Unload customer orders at site, ensuring delivery notes are followed accurately.
• Collect orders from customers and suppliers as required by the Purchasing team.
• Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies.
• Deliver orders in a polite, professional, and customer-focused manner.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers across your route.
• Represent Albion positively and consistently as the trusted face of the business.

Requirements

Due to insurance restrictions the job holder must hold a valid, full UK driving licence with no serious endorsements and no more than 6 penalty points within the last 5 years. We are unable to accept any of the following offence codes on their licence within the last five years:

• DD- Dangerous driving
• UT- Theft or unauthorised vehicle use
