Job summary

McQueens Dairies is seeking a Night Shift Multi Drop Delivery Driver in Bury St Edmunds. You will deliver up to 350 addresses per night on a fixed route, starting around 10 PM and finishing near 6:30 AM, with a 36-hour week across four nights.

A Full UK manual driving licence is required and DBS checks are part of onboarding. Uniform and vehicle are provided, plus 23 paid holidays per year and weekly pay.

• Successful candidates must pass a DBS check as part of the onboarding process

Responsibilities

• Delivering up to 350 addresses per night
• You’ll have your own route that you get to know quickly (subject to change)
• First delivery planned between 2245 and 2300, last delivery around 0630 (Stem time permitting)
• Routes vary by type (Rural, Business, residential) with aim to return to depot by 7am
• Occasionally may work later due to breakdowns, time back when possible
• Vehicle is the same every day; keep it clean and defect-free
• Stable, routine-based job with supportive training
• Uniform and vehicle provided; opportunities for extra hours
• You work independently and finish early in the day
• Time and travel are calculated from depot to first and last drop back to depot

Shift Pattern:

• Times: 10PM - 7:30AM
• Hourly Rate: £15.73| Paid Weekly
• Hours per week: 36 | 4 Nights a week
• Days off: Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
• Requirements:
  • Full UK manual driving licence - (No DR, DG, DD)
  • Successful candidates must pass a DBS check as part of the onboarding process

What You Will Be Doing:

• You’ll have your own route that you get to know very quickly. (This is subject to change due to operational requirements or business growth.)
• Delivering up to 350 addresses per night
• First delivery is planned between 2245pm & 2300pm with last delivery planned around 0630am (Stem time permitting)
• Each individual route is different based type of route (Rural, Business, residential) and level of street density but our aim is to have you back into the depot by 7am based on our strategicroute structuring.
• There may be the odd occasion where you are required to work later (Breakdowns etc) and where this occurs, we will look to get this time back to you, when possible, to do so.
• Routes and build on time and travel. We calculate the time from depot to first drop and last drop back to depot
• You work independently and finish early in the day.
• Vehicle is the same every day therefore the responsibility of keeping the vehicle clean and free from defects is yours.
• It’s a stable, routine based job with supportive training.
• Uniform and vehicle are provided, and there are opportunities for extra hours
