Job summary

McQueens Dairies Ltd in Basildon seeks a reliable Multi Drop Night Shift Driver to join a permanent team. You will cover a fixed night schedule, delivering up to 350 addresses per shift with a focus on safety, efficiency and punctuality.

The role offers a stable routine, provided uniform and vehicle, and opportunities for extra hours as needed. Successful candidates will undergo a DBS check and hold a valid UK manual driving licence.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK manual driving licence with no DR, DG or DD categories.
• Successful candidates must pass a DBS check during onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Delivering up to 350 addresses per night on assigned routes.
• Manage own route with limited supervision and adapt to operational needs.
• Back to depot by around 7am after last drop, time permitting.
• Work independently; keep vehicle clean and report defects.
• Uniform and vehicle provided; occasional extra hours may be available.
• Maintain schedule accuracy and ensure safe, compliant driving.

Location: Basildon | Contract: Permanent | Hourly Rate: £15.73 | Weekly Pay

Hourly Rate: £15.73 | Paid Weekly

• Times: 10PM - 7:30AM
• Hours per week: 36 | 4 Nights a week
• Days off: Tuesday, Friday, Saturday

• Successful candidates must pass a DBS check as part of the onboarding process

What You Will Be Doing

• You’ll have your own route that you get to know very quickly. (This is subject to change due to operational requirements or business growth.)
• Delivering up to 350 addresses per night
• First delivery is planned between 2245pm & 2300pm with last delivery planned around 0630am (Stem time permitting)
• Each individual route is different based type of route (Rural, Business, residential) and level of street density but our aim is to have you back into the depot by 7am based on our strategicroute structuring.
• There may be the odd occasion where you are required to work later (Breakdowns etc) and where this occurs, we will look to get this time back to you, when possible, to do so.
• Routes and build on time and travel. We calculate the time from depot to first drop and last drop back to depot
• You work independently and finish early in the day.
• Vehicle is the same every day therefore the responsibility of keeping the vehicle clean and free from defects is yours.
• It’s a stable, routine based job with supportive training.
• Uniform and vehicle are provided, and there are opportunities for extra hours
