Job summary

World Courier in Bristol is seeking a reliable Multi Drop Delivery Driver to join our Transport team. You will ensure the speedy, safe and accurate delivery of assembled products and invoices to customers, in line with corporate guidelines.

Daily vehicle checks, service on time deliveries, and professional customer engagement are essential. Applicants must hold a full driving license, be over 21, and demonstrate strong verbal and written communication, plus excellent customer care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products and invoices quickly, safely and accurately to customers

• Load orders from dropsheets and ensure correct items are loaded
• Assist in housekeeping and safety procedures as required
• Engage with customers professionally and uphold company image

Multi Drop Delivery Driver This role is in support of Cencora's wholesale distribution services in Europe operating through our Alliance Healthcare business.**Department:**Transport**Location: Bristol** Service Centre**Reports To:**Driver Team Manager**Hours of work:** 48 hours Per Week (Monday – Saturday) **Salary:** £15.30 per hour **Job Purpose:**To ensure the speedy, efficient and accurate delivery of assembled product and invoices to the customer within the corporate guidelines.**Key Accountabilities** * To maintain a safe and competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and other traffic signs and giving due regard to other road users.* To have a daily check to ensure that your vehicle is in a roadworthy condition including a check of the lights, brakes, coolant, etc.* To report any faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays.* To maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle together with the cleanliness of the vehicle.* To ensure sufficient quantities of fuel have been taken for the day's work.* To maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.* To check all orders shown on the dropsheets and ensure all orders are loaded on the vehicle.* To collect goods returned for credit, mail, cheques or delivery bins and their safe return to the branch at all times.* To ensure Housekeeping standards are maintained.* Ensure damages/breakages are dealt with promptly and correctly with due regard to special procedures for HazChems.* To maintain a smart appearance at all times.* To help maintain good customer relations.* To be involved in other duties as may be defined from time to time by the Management.* Meet all Health & Safety requirements. **Competencies*** Building Customer Loyalty – *Effectively meeting customer needs; building productive customer relationships; taking responsibility for customer satisfaction and loyalty.** Communication – *Clearly conveying information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message.** Contributing to Team Success – *Actively participating as a member of a team to move the team toward the completion of goals.** |Initiating Action – *Taking prompt action to accomplish objectives; taking action to achieve goals beyond what is required; being proactive.** Safety Awareness – *Being aware of conditions that effect employee safety.*.## Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required: **Essential*** A full driving license must be held relevant to the vehicle being driven* For insurance purposes, all drivers must be over 21 years of age* Existing employees must update fleet services accordingly with any changes to their license status e.g. points on their license, driving bans etc* Excellent verbal and written communication skills* Excellent Customer care* Intermediate Numeracy and Literacy **Desirable*** Previous experience of multi-drop delivery driving is highly desirable* Route planning experience **MANUAL HANDLING**It should be noted that manual handling tasks such as lifting and bending are “essential requirements” of this role.Whilst Alliance Healthcare is committed to developing positive policies to promote equal opportunities in employment, we have a duty of care to ensure we do not instigate or worsen any conditions that would prevent the employee from carrying out manual handling duties.On that basis, for this role we cannot make “reasonable adjustments” for any applicant who is unable to carry out such duties.
