Job summary

Cencora is hiring a Multi Drop Van Driver in Dorchester to ensure fast, safe delivery of pharmaceuticals to pharmacies and hospitals across our European Alliance Healthcare network.

Working 48 hours per week (Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri and Saturday mornings), you will perform daily vehicle checks, load orders, maintain vehicle cleanliness and security, and support branch operations while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• A full driving license must be held relevant to the vehicle being driven.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent Customer care.
• Intermediate Numeracy and Literacy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and traffic signs.
• Perform daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness (lights, brakes, coolant, etc.).
• Report faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays promptly.
• Maintain vehicle interior and exterior cleanliness and security of contents.
• Ensure sufficient fuel for the day’s work.
• Load orders as shown on drop sheets and ensure correct loading.
• Assist with goods returned and administrative tasks as instructed by branch management.
• Handle damages/breakages promptly following HazChem procedures and maintain good customer relations.

Job Title: Multi Drop Van Driver

Location: Dorchester

Hours per week: 48hrs M/T/W/TH/F and Sat mornings

Salary: £35,642.88

Job Summary

To ensure the speedy, efficient, and accurate delivery of pharmaceuticals to pharmacies and hospitals.

Key Responsibilities

• To maintain a safe a competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and other traffic signs and giving due regard to other road users.
• To have a daily check to ensure that your vehicle is in a roadworthy condition including a check of the lights, brakes, coolant, etc.
• To report any faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays.
• To maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle together with the cleanliness of the vehicle.
• To ensure sufficient quantities of fuel have been taken for the day's work.
• To maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.
• To check all orders shown on the drop sheets and ensure all orders are loaded on the vehicle.
• To collect goods returned for credit, mail, delivery bins and their safe return to the branch at times instructed by the branch management.
• Ensure damages/breakages are dealt with promptly and correctly with due regard to special procedures for HazChems.
• To help maintain good customer relations.
• To be involved in other duties including warehouse tasks as defined by the Management.

Skills Knowledge and Experience required:

Essential

• A full driving license must be held relevant to the vehicle being driven
• Whilst we do not ask for a clean license, we will assess the risk of employing applicants who have points on their license, and this may affect our decision to shortlist
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent Customer care
• Intermediate Numeracy and Literacy

Desirable

• Previous experience of multi-drop delivery driving is highly desirable
• Route planning experience
