Job summary

Cencora is hiring a Multi Drop Van Driver in Letchworth to ensure fast, accurate delivery of pharmaceuticals to pharmacies and hospitals. You will work 48 hours weekly across Mon–Sat with a salary of £37,489.92.

Role involves vehicle checks, safe driving, loading orders, and maintaining relationships with customers while meeting Health & Safety standards and general warehouse duties as needed.

Qualifications

• A full driving license must be held relevant to the vehicle being driven.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent Customer care.
• Intermediate Numeracy and Literacy.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and competent driving, obeying speed limits and road signs.
• Daily vehicle checks including lights, brakes and fluids.
• Report faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and condition.
• Ensure sufficient fuel for the day.
• Secure the vehicle and contents at all times.
• Check orders on drop sheets and load correctly.
• Collect goods returned and return to branch as instructed.
• Address damages/breakages per HazChem procedures.
• Maintain a smart appearance and good customer relations.
• Assist with warehouse tasks as defined by Management.
• Meet all Health & Safety requirements.

Job Summary

To ensure the speedy, efficient, and accurate delivery of pharmaceuticals to pharmacies and hospitals.

Key Responsibilities

• To maintain a safe a competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and other traffic signs and giving due regard to other road users.
• To have a daily check to ensure that your vehicle is in a roadworthy condition including a check of the lights, brakes, coolant, etc.
• To report any faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays.
• To maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle together with the cleanliness of the vehicle.
• To ensure sufficient quantities of fuel have been taken for the day's work.
• To maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.
• To check all orders shown on the drop sheets and ensure all orders are loaded on the vehicle.
• To collect goods returned for credit, mail, delivery bins and their safe return to the branch at times instructed by the branch management.
• Ensure damages/breakages are dealt with promptly and correctly with due regard to special procedures for HazChems.
• To always maintain a smart appearance.
• To help maintain good customer relations.
• To be involved in other duties including warehouse tasks as defined by the Management.
• Meet all Health & Safety requirements.

Skills Knowledge and Experience required

• A full driving license must be held relevant to the vehicle being driven
• Whilst we do not ask for a clean license, we will assess the risk of employing applicants who have points on their license, and this may affect our decision to shortlist
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Intermediate Numeracy and Literacy

Desirable

• Previous experience of multi-drop delivery driving is highly desirable
• Route planning experience
