Job Purpose

To ensure the speedy, efficient, and accurate delivery of pharmaceuticals to pharmacies and hospitals.

Key Accountabilities

• Maintain a safe and competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and other traffic signs, and giving due regard to other road users.
• Perform daily checks to ensure your vehicle is in a roadworthy condition, including lights, brakes, coolant, etc.
• Report faults, breakdowns, accidents, or delays.
• Maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle, including cleanliness.
• Ensure sufficient fuel for the day's work.
• Maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.
• Check all orders on the drop sheets and ensure they are loaded onto the vehicle.
• Collect goods returned for credit, mail, delivery bins, and their safe return to the branch as instructed.
• Deal promptly and correctly with damages or breakages, especially for HazChem items.
• Maintain a smart appearance and good customer relations.
• Assist in other duties including warehouse tasks as defined by management.
• Meet all Health & Safety requirements.

Essential Requirements

• A full driving license relevant to the vehicle being driven.
• Assessment of risk for applicants with points on their license; may affect shortlisting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer care skills.
• Intermediate numeracy and literacy.

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience in multi-drop delivery driving.
• Route planning experience.

Manual handling tasks such as lifting and bending are essential requirements of this role. We cannot make reasonable adjustments for applicants unable to perform manual handling duties.
