Job summary

TeamJobs in Manchester seeks an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join a multi-disciplined team. You’ll install, service, maintain and fault find fire and security systems across varied technologies, travelling to customer sites across the region.

The role offers a permanent, full-time position with a salary around £35,000 depending on experience, and opportunities for technical development within a reputable company.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with fire and security systems.
• Good fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of relevant fire safety standards, particularly BS 5839.
• Experience with fire alarms and/or security systems.
• A practical, problem-solving approach.
• The ability to work independently on customer sites.
• A willingness to travel as required.
• Relevant industry qualifications or certifications would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining fire alarm and detection systems.
• Working on fire suppression systems.
• Installing, maintaining and fault finding security systems.
• Working with CCTV, access control and intruder alarm systems.
• Carrying out inspections, testing and compliance checks.
• Diagnosing faults and providing effective technical solutions.
• Ensuring systems are operating correctly and in line with relevant standards.
• Supporting wider fire safety projects and providing technical advice where required.
• Travelling to customer sites across the region.
