Job Description
- Carry out maintenance and repair tasks across multiple trades, including plumbing, carpentry, and decorating.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and organisational standards.
- Identify and report any additional work requirements or potential issues.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
- Respond promptly to emergency repair requests as needed.
- Use tools and equipment safely and efficiently to complete tasks.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with tenants or other stakeholders.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Multi-trade Operative should have:
- Proven skills in at least two trades such as plumbing, carpentry, or painting.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to the public sector.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address maintenance challenges effectively.
- Good communication skills to liaise with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Flexibility to adapt to varied tasks and priorities.
