Position: Technician

Location: Crewe, Cheshire

About the company

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a premium automotive manufacturer who are looking for a Technician to join their team on a long term rolling contract basis

Full week onsite in Crewe.

Main Responsibilities

  • Build of development and saleable vehicles to the highest standards, whist demonstrating competence in multiple trade disciplines
  • Actively Takes Part in Continuous Improvement Activities
  • Coach/Mentor & train in appropriate skills to nurture future talent and to expand departmental competence
  • To assist the development of and to operate in accordance with Build documentation

Skills & Experience

  • Significant skill in a specialised area which is broadly recognised wider than own department.
  • Technical expertise making individual a primary point of contact in one or more highly valued areas. Responsible to facilitate knowledge transfer of skill / experience.
  • Communication and influencing skills which are utilised up to senior levels across the business.
  • Qualified by Apprenticeship / extensive experience and skill and/or similar in a Core Skill.
  • Experienced/Assessed/Competent in a Second Skill.

Practical & Technical Knowledge

  • Problem solving and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Able to solve complex problems and work autonomously in challenging / unique circumstances.

  • Diagnostic tools and software update packages (role specific)

Qualifications

  • Engineering/Technical/Craft Apprenticeship/NVQ or equivalent.
  • Commitment to train as business requirements demand
