Job Title: Quality Inspector

Pay rate: PAYE Max: £27.11 LTD Max: £33.27

Duration: 27/02/2026 + Extension

Location: Pyms Lane, Crewe, CW1 3PL

Working Pattern: Full onsite role, Mon - Fri 9am to 5pm, 37 hours per week

About the Role:
As a Quality Inspector, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and elevating the exceptional quality standards associated with our bespoke Mulliner products. You will be responsible for inspecting parts, assemblies, and vehicles, ensuring they meet the rigorous Mulliner operational quality targets. Your keen eye for detail will contribute significantly to the overall success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspection Excellence:Inspect and approve Mulliner products for fit, finish, and functionality across various locations.
  • Incoming Quality Control:Check and sign off incoming parts to ensure compliance with standards set by the Collections Quality Engineer.
  • Repair Verification:Oversee repairs and confirm that products meet specification and quality requirements post-rectification.
  • Reporting & Documentation:Record and document inspection findings, including issues and recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborative Problem Solving:Engage with the Mulliner operations team to communicate defects and establish resolution plans.

What You Bring:

  • Must have: experience Automotive Paint inspection experience.
  • Experience in Production/Manufacturing:Proven track record in a similar environment, ideally within the automotive sector.
  • Customer Quality Focus:A strong commitment to understanding and meeting customer quality expectations.
  • Effective Communication Skills:Ability to convey information clearly and concisely to peers and supervisors.
  • Team Player:Experience working collaboratively in a bespoke delivery environment.
  • Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement:A mindset geared toward identifying and implementing enhancements.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in understanding product specifications and drawings.
  • Knowledgeable about product trim and assembly processes.
  • Familiarity with Product Audit guidelines and defect severity interpretation.
  • PC proficiency, including MS Office (Access, Excel, Word).
  • A clean vehicle driving license and a Bentley Product driving license.

Qualifications:

  • Educated to NVQ Level 3 or GCSE equivalent in English and Mathematics.
  • Commitment to ongoing personal development and training.
  • Willingness to obtain and maintain necessary vehicle inspection training.
