Job Description

TEXO Recruitment is looking for a Mud Cooling Technician to join our external clients fantastic team based in Dyce, Aberdeen.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct equipment surveys and reports for offshore and land-based projects.
  2. Mobilise, install, and demobilise mud cooling equipment.
  3. Train rig personnel on equipment operation.
  4. Interpret rig layouts and P&ID diagrams.
  5. Maintain and service mud cooling equipment.
  6. Prepare equipment for mobilisation and ensure documentation is updated.
  7. Support project management and liaise with suppliers and clients.
  8. Maintain asset records and certification files.
  9. Ensure compliance with QHSE policies and report hazards.
  10. Participate in training, safety meetings, and operational improvements.

Qualifications & Skills:

  1. Mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical engineering qualification (NC, HNC, HND, or apprenticeship).
  2. Offshore survival and medical certification.
  3. Knowledge of fluids and mud cooling systems.
  4. Effective communication, report writing, and proficiency in MS Office.
