Description:

Tradebe is seeking a Mobile Technical Services (MTS) Chemist to join our developing Technical Services team.

Under the supervision of the MTS Manager, the Chemist will organize and coordinate hazardous waste collections from customer facilities as needed.

The MTS service operates across multiple Tradebe locations in the UK; applicants must be willing to work away from home with overnight stays when required.

The ideal candidate will be committed, flexible, a team player, and professional. They should have a positive attitude, work well under pressure, and use their own initiative.

Graduates with Chemistry degrees will be considered for this role.

The person
  • Minimum HNC level education in Chemistry
  • Computer literate; knowledge of Microsoft Office & SAP is advantageous
  • Good health and physical fitness to perform activities
  • Ability to develop relationships with customers and identify sales opportunities
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, capable of working autonomously, eager to learn
  • EU driving license for at least two years
  • ADR license for packages is preferred; training provided if needed
  • Forklift certification is an advantage; training provided if needed
  • First Aid vocational training is an advantage; training provided if needed
The role
  • Organize collections from client sites and deliver to waste transfer sites
  • Maintain packing materials on site
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and health & safety policies
  • Assess, segregate, label, and pack waste with proper documentation
  • Manage hazardous waste lists and documentation for compliance
  • Load waste onto transport vehicles safely and drive to disposal sites
  • Conduct risk assessments at client sites
  • Maintain vehicle safety and report defects
  • Comply with EU Drivers Hours Regulations, Working Time Directive, and local laws
  • Support growth of the MTS business regionally
