Job summary

Cheshire East Council is seeking an experienced Multisystemic Therapy Team Supervisor to lead a team of practitioners delivering MST with fidelity in home and community settings. The post involves clinical advice, supervision, and maintaining safe service delivery.

You will work with Social Care, Early Help and partner agencies to coordinate support, drive service quality and continuous improvement, and promote trauma‑informed, strengths‑based practice.

Qualifications

• A professional qualification in social work or related field.
• Significant experience with safeguarding.
• Experience supervising and coaching practitioners.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and risk management.
• Willingness to travel across Cheshire East.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of practitioners delivering MST in line with the MST model.
• Provide clinical oversight, risk management and safeguarding leadership across cases.
• Support complex decision-making and ensure positive outcomes for children and families.
• Build effective relationships with Social Care, Early Help, and key partners to coordinate support.
• Drive service quality, performance, learning and improvement through supervision and audits.
• Promote strengths-based, trauma-informed and culturally responsive practice.
