Job description

Berkshire Healthcare is seeking motivated candidates for a Band 6 Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist position, part-time (22.5 hours per week), in the MSK Physiotherapy Outpatient team.

Our service receives a wide variety of referrals from GP surgeries, orthopaedic clinics, the MSK Triage Service, FCPs, and from the Trust's Specialist Spinal Service (IPASS) / MSK Community Specialist Service (CSS).

We also consider applications for a Band 5/6 Development role.

We have excellent clinical and administrative teams ranging from Bands 3 to 7. You will have access to Band 7 Clinical Specialist Physiotherapists for supervision and In-Service Training, as well as links with a team of 24 APPs in IPASS and CSS.

The successful candidates will need to be committed to providing high-quality, effective assessment and physiotherapy treatment, promoting self-management and empowerment of patients. They should demonstrate a minimum of 12 months postgraduate experience, including MSK rotations, and have a passion for musculoskeletal outpatients.

Key Responsibilities:

1. To work as a senior physiotherapy practitioner, providing a high-quality, responsive outpatient physiotherapy service for adults and children with musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions.
2. To provide high standards of physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and caseload management.
3. To undertake all clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner without direct supervision.
4. To supervise and educate junior physiotherapists, physiotherapy assistants, technical instructors, work experience students, and physiotherapy students.
