Job description

We have been assigned by an NHS Trust in the East Midlands to recruit to their MSK Radiology Consultant vacancy on a permanent basis. Would this be of interest to you or, if you know someone within your network who you can recommend?

Our client is one of the biggest employers in the city with a central role in supporting the health and wellbeing of our local population. They play a leading role in research, education, and innovation. They have a budget of just under £1 billion, 90 wards, and 1,700 beds across three main sites. They deliver district general services to 2.5 million residents of Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, and its surrounding communities. Their specialist services allow us to deliver care to 4.5 million people from across the East Midlands and nationally for a handful of services.

The appointee will be asked to fulfill various duties within the department, including:

1. Management of patients admitted under their care.
2. Provision with Consultant colleagues of a comprehensive elective and emergency MSK service.
3. Active role in clinical governance activities including clinical audit, incident reporting, review of complaints, risk management, CPD, and Evidence-Based Practice.
4. Significant role in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
5. Comprehensive elective and emergency on-call service related to MSK Radiology.
6. Sessions for reporting time for Plain Film, MRI, and CT.
7. Performing ultrasound and fluoroscopy/US/CT guided procedures.
8. Participation in multidisciplinary meetings.
