Job Overview

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 HCPC Registered Physiotherapist to join our Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy Service in the Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust based in Tamworth.

You will be working as part of a friendly team of Physiotherapists and Advanced Practice Physiotherapists. You will work independently to manage your own caseload and contribute to departmental and service needs. You will provide initial assessments to service users and develop treatment, care, and support programs tailored to individual and family needs.

An understanding of MSK rehabilitation is desirable, along with varied clinical placements as a student. We offer comprehensive support, with guidance from experienced physiotherapists and the multidisciplinary team. Continuing Professional Development is encouraged and supported through annual appraisals and clinical supervision.

Excellent communication skills, initiative, team spirit, and commitment to patient care are essential. Flexibility and the ability to travel across Tamworth and surrounding regions are required.

Main Duties
  1. Assess new service user referrals and care/support needs.
  2. Develop, implement, and evaluate treatment/care/support programs for individuals, families, and carers.
  3. Promote independence, self-management, and safety.
  4. Increase functional ability and improve health and wellbeing.
  5. Manage disease/condition interventions and reduce health inequalities.
  6. Use professional judgment to tailor care packages and treatment options.
  7. Maintain and develop skills, share knowledge, and exemplify good practice.
  8. Be sensitive to emotional needs, offering reassurance and empathy.
  9. Work flexibly across environments and professional boundaries.
