Join NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool as a Rotational MSK B6 clinician in a dynamic environment, offering invaluable experience in outpatient settings. Rotational MSK B6 clinicians are required for our fast-paced, dynamic city centre acute teaching hospitals. Demonstrable MSK experience and clinical knowledge are essential. Rotations are based at our three main hospital sites and off-site locations, primarily in outpatient settings.
Full and part-time applicants are considered.
Our rotations cover the following areas: upper limb, lower limb, spines, general MSK outpatients, inpatient Elective Orthopaedics, limb reconstruction service (inpatient and outpatient). We also offer hydrotherapy services. You will receive regular supervision and access to education and training provided by Advanced Practitioners and Consultant Therapists.
Our MSK team operates within primary, secondary, and tertiary clinical pathways, covering trauma, elective care, and managing direct GP referrals to Physiotherapy and our MSK interface service (MCAS). Our clinical teams work closely with Orthopaedic, Pain, and Rheumatology Consultants, being an integral part of clinical care.
This role requires applying clinical knowledge gained from diverse experiences across various clinical areas. Responsibilities include supervising and supporting junior staff, student education, research, and audit. Participation in the respiratory on-call service will be discussed at interview and depends on recent experience.
Annex 21 training positions will also be considered.
Applicants need to demonstrate good communication, time-management, and interpersonal skills. They must be motivated and capable of working efficiently both independently and within a team. Flexibility is essential to meet the changing needs of the service, including delivering a 7-day service where required. Staff must be able to work across various locations in the city and different services on a rotational basis.
Rotations are led by staff choice, aligned with their learning needs, while ensuring a safe and effective service.
