Job description
Overview

A full time opportunity has arisen for a band 6 MSK physiotherapist. This post will be based across Kenilworth clinic and Hospital of St Cross, Rugby.

This role will provide you with opportunities to supervise undergraduate physiotherapists, lead a variety of exercise classes and participate in monthly in-service training as well as deputise for Team leads in service development.

Our clinical sites are supported by a team of Advanced Practice physiotherapists who will be available to discuss clinical queries and provide opportunities for you to shadow their clinics. We also have close working links and support from physiotherapy colleagues in Pelvic health, Orthopaedics, Pain and Respiratory. Coaching and mentoring is also available for you to access to aid your learning and career development. South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust covers a 7 day inpatient service, hence this post also includes orthopaedic weekend working.

Responsibilities
  • To provide a high standard physiotherapy service to patients in the specialist area.
  • To work as an accountable and autonomous practitioner, holding responsibility for own caseload.
  • To work in conjunction with the Pathway and Team leads in planning, co-ordinating, delivering and evaluating the Physiotherapy service within the speciality on a day to day basis.
  • To take a role in the provision of support and clinical supervision of less experienced physiotherapy staff and undergraduate students.
  • To deputise for the Team leaders as required.
  • To keep accurate records of patient contact using written records and electronic data capture.
  • To contribute to out of hours working as required.
  • To maintain own competency to practise.
