Job description

JustPhysio are looking for an MSK Physiotherapist for a 6 month permanent contract in Scotland.

Band 6/7 MSK Physiotherapist

6 month permanent contract

Salary GBP38k:GBP50k pro rata

Our client is a well:established busy clinic in beautiful central Scotland.

The clinic offers a breadth of services to the public from Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Womens Health, Sports Massage, Shockwave therapy, Strength and Conditioning classes and Pilates Classes and more.

They are looking for the ideal candidate to be experienced in MSK physiotherapy and who can work alongside the Clinic Physiotherapy Director and will work closely with the other Physiotherapists and be required to provide a high standard of patient care whilst demonstrating professionalism and great time management. You would be expected to demonstrate your extent of Musculoskeletal clinical experience and work autonomously and to be confident treating a range of conditions as you will be their first Health Professional contact at times.

You will also work within your scope of practice and be comfortable referring to other Health Professionals and Medical Professionals where necessary.

You would be expected to attend as well as contribute to a regular in house cpd training programme with other staff. You will have access for financial funding of external courses under the managers discretion.

You will work under a line manager and within your role you will set professional objectives for the forthcoming year. You will meet with your line manager quarterly to discuss your goals and progress and your achievements will be reflected by an increase in remuneration.

Occasionally they provide pitch side first aid, and also work at outdoor sporting events like Trail runs or half marathons. Full training will be given if you lack skills in these areas.

They offer a home visit service so you will be expected to have a full UK driving licence.

They have a company car so you could have access to this, or have your travel paid by them if you wish to use your own vehicle.

The normal working day is 7.5 hours, if you take a full:time position. Start and Finish times vary, however we try be as flexible as possible to take into consideration child care or other commitments

There is an opportunity to work longer hours if you wish to compress your working week. There are options for part:time work which can cover evenings and weekends if you wish. The clinic caters for a wide range of service users from International sports people to recreational athletes, working population, school children and the retired population; therefore you are guaranteed an exciting and varied MSK workload. We are very supportive of staff training needs and you will be given time and mentorship by your line manager if there is an area you feel you need to build on.

Skills Required

Minimum 2 years post graduate experience with a large amount of that in MSK outpatients or private practice.

Chartered HCPC registered Physiotherapist

Broad range of manual skills, Warm and welcoming manner.

Professional attitude and neat and tidy Professional appearance.

Committed to clinical standards and code of practice.

Evidence based approach to treatment and rehabilitation.

Excellent communication skills, time keeping and punctuality.

Understanding of importance of strength and conditioning and rehab protocols.

Desirable skills: Pilates and Sports Massage. Leadership and Management experience.

The right person will be given additional training if required.
