Job description
MSK Administrator (Patient Care Advisor)

MSK Administrator (Patient Care Advisor)

Could you be the first voice a patient hears?

Our Sussex MSK Partnership team are looking for brilliant administrators who can ensure good care happens for patients. We call our administrators Patient Care Advisors (PCAs for short).

Patient Care Advisors are an invaluable part of the Sussex MSK Partnership service. The service helps people who are experiencing MSK (aka musculoskeletal, muscle and bone) conditions, stewarding patients through options for their care and providing support for those who need assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. All people across Brighton and Hove, Crawley, mid-Sussex and Horsham with a musculoskeletal condition are referred to our service.

We want to make a person's care as straightforward as possible, by providing one point of contact as close to their home as we can.

Please note: Due to recent changes in UK immigration and visa rules, this role is unlikely to be eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applicants who do not currently have the right to work in the UK may not be considered.

Main duties of the job

This is a part-time post (21.5 hours per week) with the standard working day as 08:00-16:00 or 09:00-17:00.

Main duties of the Job

  • Patient Care Advisors are the first point of contact for our patients. This means they handle patient data every single day and work within small teams, making sure the people we see experience seamless care.
  • Communication is a key part of this role, and the successful candidate will spend most of their time covering telephone and reception duties.
  • The role will be based in the Physiotherapy Department in Crawley Hospital, but will include the expectation to cover reception duties in the Physiotherapy Department in Horsham Hospital on a regular basis.

The successful candidate will be employed by Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust but will work within the Sussex MSK Health Partnership service.
