Job summary

Intact in London is seeking a Principal Software Engineer for the Microsoft Power Platform to lead delivery of enterprise applications. Hybrid role requires four days in the office and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.

You will drive architectural discussions, establish best practices, and mentor engineers while delivering scalable Power Platform-based solutions in a regulatory environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform.
• Deep expertise in Model Driven Apps, Power Platform Code Apps, Canvas Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse and customisation of Power Platform Apps via plugins, PCFs and connectors.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Function Apps, Logic Apps, .Net Container Apps and Copilot Studio.
• Experience with React framework, C#, APIs.
• Good knowledge of databases, SQL Server and Power BI.
• Experience with building AI agents.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary technical point of contact for the applications in scope.
• Represent Software Engineering CoE in architecture, design, governance and security discussions.
• Collaborate on environment setup, configurations, best practices and DLP policies.
• Bridge between Intact and third-party teams to assess compatibility, risks and mitigations.
• Ensure applications adhere to industry standards for software development.
• Document configurations and knowledge for retention and future transitions.
• Build proofs of concept and contribute to architecture, design, development, testing, deployment and support.
• Collaborate with teams and vendors on requirements analysis and solution design.
• Work on porting, deployment, verification and debugging of applications.
• Assist in defining platform team structure, capacity, skills, and hiring requirements; support recruitment.
• Develop a comprehensive handover plan covering technical/functional aspects, components, environment strategy, dev process and go-live approach.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Primary technical point of contact for the applications in scope of this role
• Represent Software Engineering CoE in discussions and forums such as architecture and design forums, governance forums, security etc.
• Collaborate with teams on environment setup, configuration planning, best practices, and DLP policies
• Act as a bridge between Intact and third‑party teams to assess environment compatibility, highlight risks, and propose mitigations.

• Hands‑on experience on Azure Function Apps, Logic Apps, .Net Container Apps, Copilot Studio
• Experience of working on React framework, C#, APIs
• Good knowledge of general database concepts, SQL server, Power BI
• Experience with building AI agents
