Starting Wage: Schedule B position; all percentages based on $50,280 for 26-27 school year
Work Schedule: 2026-27 Contracted School Year

Job Description

The Middle School Athletic Development Coordinator will lead the development of a unified athletic performance and fitness program for students in grades 6-8. This role supports all student-athletes and non-athletes while aligning with the athletic department's 6-12 strength and conditioning vision.

Essential Job Functions and Duties
  • Passion for athletic fitness and helping students reach their full potential.
  • Positive role model for middle school student-athletes.
  • Knowledge of strength and conditioning fundamentals for adolescent development.
  • Ability to teach basic movement patterns, strength, and wellness habits.
  • Experience in athletic development or physical training.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborate with the 9-12 Athletic Development Coordinator to maintain a unified 6-12 program.
  • Design and implement safe, age-appropriate training sessions for all middle school students 2-3 times per week.
  • Emphasize mobility, technique, coordination, safety, and injury prevention.
  • Support coaches by integrating athletic development principles across all sports.
  • Foster a positive, engaging environment that promotes lifelong health and fitness.
  • Maintain records, testing data, and facility organization.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of data information systems, data analysis and the formulation of action plans.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students.
  • Ability to use computer network systems and software applications as needed.
  • Ability to organize and coordinate work.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.
  • Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.
  • Ability to work in various environments.

Additional Duties

Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Athletic Director and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.
