Job Title: MRP Controller

Our client, a large Aerospace and Defence supplier, is seeking a MRP Controller to join their team on a contract basis at their site in Henlow.

Contract Details

• 12-month initial contract, likely to extend.

Role Responsibilities

The MRP Controller will be responsible for managing manufacturing schedules, logistics activities, and ensuring customer programmes are met promptly.

• Manage and coordinate planning activities to deliver the Manufacturing Planning Schedule (MPS) on time, within budget, and with quality standards.
• Coordinate procurement of materials to support the MPS, ensuring timely supply for manufacturing.
• Release, manage, and schedule work in the MRP system; maintain and communicate delivery forecasts.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels, minimize waste, and ensure MRP system accuracy through regular stock checks.
• Collaborate with the Supply Planner to address plan changes and resolve supply chain constraints.
• Identify and escalate risks related to supplied parts.
• Work with Goods Receiving, Stores, and Dispatch to manage inventory and related transactions.
• Support non-conformance management processes.
• Maintain and update manufacturing bill of materials and master data.
• Support schedule adherence and KPI achievement through effective planning.

Required Skills/Experience

• Experience in manufacturing planning, supply chain management, or related fields.
• APICs supply chain certification (desirable).
• Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
