Our client, a large Aerospace and Defence supplier, is looking for an MRP Controller to join them on a 12-month initial contract at their site in Bolton.

  • Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be a sole British national and eligible to obtain SC Clearance.
  • 12-month initial contract.
  • Fully onsite due to the nature of the role.
Role responsibilities

The MRP Controller will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of existing and future manufacturing schedules, delivering Logistics Management activities, and ensuring customer programmes are met in a timely manner.

  • Manage and coordinate all planning activities to deliver the Manufacturing Planning Schedule (MPS) to time, cost, and quality, including specific responsibilities such as:
  • Planning and procurement of materials to ensure timely supply for the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
  • Release, manage, and schedule all work in the MRP system, maintaining delivery forecasts and communicating with customers.
  • Maintain efficient inventory levels, minimize waste and costs, and ensure accuracy of the MRP system through regular stock checks.
  • Collaborate with the Supply Planner to communicate plan changes and resolve supply chain constraints.
  • Identify supply risks and escalate issues as needed.
  • Work with Goods Receiving, Stores, and Dispatch to manage inventory, resolve queries, and ensure proper documentation.
  • Support non-conformance management and maintain manufacturing bill of materials and strategies.
  • Contribute to achieving schedule adherence, inventory, and delivery KPIs.
Skillset/experience required:
  • Experience in manufacturing planning, supply chain management, or related fields.
  • APICs supply chain certification is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience with SAP is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MRP systems.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
