The Whittan Group is seeking a proactive MRP Buyer to join our Wakefield team. You will manage purchasing activity using our MRP system, maintain stock levels, and nurture supplier relationships to support production schedules and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has proven experience in implementing or setting up MRP systems, with strong initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to work across production, planning and logistics teams.

Formación

• Experience working with MRP/ERP systems to manage purchasing activity.
• Strong supplier management and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to analyse usage trends, forecast demand and identify anomalies.

Responsabilidades

• Review and manage MRP system requirements to raise and maintain purchase orders.
• Ensure materials and components are available to meet production schedules and customer delivery requirements.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and resolve supply issues.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms to balance cost efficiency with quality.
• Monitor supplier performance and escalate risks when needed.
• Track order confirmations, delivery schedules, and expedite orders to meet business needs.
• Collaborate with production, planning, and logistics to align purchasing with operations.
• Update Master Data in the ERP system for accuracy.
• Coordinate with Goods in and Quality to resolve issues through NCR processes.
• Identify and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain.
