Job description

Carbon60 are proud to be partnering with an aviation company based outside of Heathrow to recruit for an MRO Project Manager within the Product Line department.


This MRO Project Manager position is on a permanent basis and has become available due to continued growth and expansion. The successful candidate will be managing landing gear overhaul events. The job holder will ensure delivery to the customer on time, on budget, and according to customer specifications. There will be close work with the Product Line team, Operations, Planning, Billing and Engineering to ensure complete contract fulfilment with superior results in customer satisfaction. One of the main objectives for this position is to increase profitability for each overhaul event.


Role Responsibilities will include:
  1. Responsible for completing landing gear overhaul events on time and on budget.
  2. Maximise customer satisfaction.
  3. Ensure complete customer contract fulfilment on events.
  4. Manage the progress of overhaul events and direct responsible parties to ensure that the event progress is in line with company and customer interest.
  5. Coordinate technical requirements with the Engineering team.
  6. Support in coordinating schedule changes with the Planning team.
  7. Provide feedback regarding the overhaul event status to the Account Manager (e.g. planned delivery, scrap material, cost) and Customer Support Specialist.
  8. Track and report the cost of each event compared to budget and define countermeasures if necessary.
  9. Participate in and/or arrange Event status meetings.
  10. Review margin sheets and report profitability of each overhaul event after completion.
  11. Initiate actions/projects to improve the overall profitability and follow-up on implementation with responsible parties.
  12. Manage post job event completion reviews and scoring systems.
Skills and Experience required:
  1. Experience in the Aerospace industry desirable.
  2. Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred.
  3. Experience working with technical records or airline CAMO / part management processes. Ideally, the candidate shall be from MRO background.
  4. Good IT skills with the use of standard Microsoft packages. Proven experience of using MRP / ERP data systems (SAP / AMOS etc.)
  5. Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
  6. Excellent ability to analyse figures and financial reviews.
  7. Have the ability to read and understand customer contracts / specification and put in place action plans for contract adherence.

Day shift - 38 hours per week Monday to Friday. Office flex (any overtime can be claimed back in time off).

Up to £45,000 salary
