Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking MRO Engineers across Derby and Bristol to provide technical support for maintenance, repair and overhaul activities. You will develop procedures, investigate failures, and liaise with manufacturing, design and supply chain teams to implement repair solutions.

The role emphasizes root-cause investigation, engineering documentation, and ensuring airworthiness compliance while supporting lifecycle activities and fleet support.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering support for maintenance, repair and overhaul activities.
• Develop, review and update maintenance procedures, repair instructions and technical documentation.
• Investigate component failures and non-conformances, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
• Support repair development and approval activities for engine and component hardware.
• Liaise with manufacturing, design and supply chain teams to implement repair solutions.
• Evaluate engineering changes and assess impact on maintenance strategies.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability and cost reduction.
• Ensure compliance with airworthiness, regulatory and customer requirements.
• Support product lifecycle activities and fleet support.
• Provide technical guidance to internal and external stakeholders.

Purpose of the role:

• Ensure compliance with airworthiness, regulatory and customer requirements.
• Support product lifecycle activities, including service introduction and ongoing fleet support.
• Provide technical guidance to internal and external stakeholders.

As a MRO Engineer you will:

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience within Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO), engineering support or through-life support environments.
• Understanding of aerospace maintenance principles and engineering processes.
• Experience producing or revising technical documentation, maintenance manuals or repair procedures.
• Strong root cause investigation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
