Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking several MRO Engineers for Derby and Bristol through our Contingent Workforce Solution. The roles support maintenance, repair and overhaul activities and involve developing and updating maintenance procedures and technical documentation.

You will investigate failures, support repair development, liaise with manufacturing, design and supply chain, ensure airworthiness compliance, and contribute to continuous improvement and fleet support.

Qualifications

• Experience in Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) environments.
• Understanding of aerospace maintenance principles and engineering processes.
• Experience producing or revising technical documentation, maintenance manuals or repair procedures.
• Strong root cause investigation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering support for maintenance, repair and overhaul activities.
• Develop, review and update maintenance procedures, repair instructions and technical documentation.
• Investigate component failures, non-conformances and in-service issues, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
• Support repair development and approval activities for engine and component hardware.
• Liaise with manufacturing, design and supply chain teams to ensure effective implementation of repair solutions.
• Evaluate engineering changes and assess their impact on maintenance strategies.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, cost reduction and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with airworthiness, regulatory and customer requirements.
• Support product lifecycle activities, including service introduction and ongoing fleet support.
• Provide technical guidance to internal and external stakeholders.

Purpose of the role:

As a MRO Engineer you will:

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience within Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO), engineering support or through-life support environments.
• Understanding of aerospace maintenance principles and engineering processes.
• Experience producing or revising technical documentation, maintenance manuals or repair procedures.
• Strong root cause investigation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
