Job description

Commercial / Residential Valuation Surveyor - (Senior Surveyor, Associate Director, Director level) - Home working.

Hiring in Manchester and surrounding areas.

Latymer Search is pleased to partner with an excellent, fast-growing independent valuation firm. Established four years ago, they have grown to a team of around 16 full-time employed surveyors with an external team of consultants.

Having had several conversations with the owner/Director, I find him to be very down-to-earth, forward-thinking, likable, and well-balanced. They are happy to allow employees to work with autonomy and provide training/support where needed. The team supports each other, with regular company meet-ups, including golf days and weekly social calls. It seems to be a positive and enjoyable environment.

Offering:

1. Basic salary - Open to discussion depending on experience - Up to £75,000 per annum, plus car allowance and bonus.

2. Lucrative bonus structure - Approximately anything over £200k billed earns 25%; over £350k billed earns 40%. Negotiable depending on experience and location.

3. 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays.

4. Car allowance or electric company car option.

5. Private Healthcare (single or family).

6. Standard state pension.

Additional information:

1. Average report turnaround times are 5-10 days for commercial and 5 days for residential.

2. Bonus paid quarterly.

3. Average fee approximately £2,000.

4. 95% of workload involves loan security work; roughly 70% commercial, with the remainder being HMO's, Redbook valuations, and residential.

5. Valuers on approximately 200 UK bank panels, with ongoing growth.

6. Each surveyor manages their own diary, supported by a team secretary.

7. No glass ceilings; promotion is based solely on performance.

8. Technology used includes Kel, Searchland, Salesforce, Property Data, Rightmove, CoStar, EIG, ProMap, BCIS, Credisafe, Kamma.

9. Typically 3-4 jobs per week, depending on complexity.

All figures are approximate; additional car allowance or bonus payments may be available.
