Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS)

Job description

MRICS Building Surveyor
Location: Central London (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 + Bonus + Benefits
Client: Design-Led Construction Consultancy

I'm working on behalf of a reputable, design-led construction consultancy based in Central London to recruit a MRICS Building Surveyor who is looking for more than just routine project work.

This role offers the chance to be part of a consultancy that is selective about the work they take on - focusing on well-designed, high-impact schemes that range from high-end refurbishments and heritage buildings to bespoke commercial and mixed-use developments. Their projects are both technically challenging and creatively rewarding.

What Makes This Role Different?

Unlike larger corporates, this firm offers the agility and trust that allows its surveyors to lead from the front. You'll be working in a flat, collaborative team structure with real exposure to decision-makers, clients, and architects from day one. The culture values autonomy, technical excellence, and professional integrity - with an emphasis on quality over quantity.

The Role Includes:

  • Project and professional work across the commercial, residential, and heritage sectors
  • Client advisory on building pathology, TDD, contract admin, dilapidations and refurbishment
  • Close collaboration with architects and design professionals
  • Opportunities to contribute to business development and client strategy

What They're Looking For:

  • Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS)
  • A well-rounded professional with experience across both project and professional services
  • Confident communicator with strong client-facing experience
  • Motivated, proactive, and looking to grow within a modern, design-aware practice

Benefits Include:

  • Hybrid and flexible working arrangements
  • A competitive salary and structured bonus scheme
  • Tailored career development with support from senior leadership
  • A supportive and inclusive environment where your voice and ideas are genuinely valued

This is an excellent opportunity for a surveyor who values both professional challenge and design quality - and wants to play a meaningful role in shaping the built environment, not just inspecting it.
