Job summary

A leading healthcare institution in Warwick seeks an MRI Technologist to supervise staff, communicate with medical teams, and perform MRI-related duties. Responsibilities

  • Schedules, directs, and assigns employee work activities in the department. Monitors and evaluates staff performance and maintains accreditation standards.
  • Maintains equipment in the department and coordinates reports (e.g., Physicists) if applicable.
  • Communicates with radiologists, physicians, and hospital staff regarding patient examinations.
  • Performs the duties of a technologist in the modality, including preparation of IV, venipunctures, administration of oral contrast, and assisting with biopsies.
  • Provides MR Safety training to self, patient, and staff.
  • Maintains current knowledge of the specialty by attending seminars and in-services.
  • Orders and maintains supplies required in the department.
  • Acts as a student preceptor.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications and Specifications

An associate degree or higher from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the ARRT. A minimum of three years of job-related experience or equivalent is required. CPR Certification is required. ARRT certification in MRI is also required.
