Up to £45,000.00 per annum, dependent on experience

37.5 hours per week

As an experienced MRI Radiographer at our hospital, you must hold a PGC in MRI and be registered with the HCPC. You will work effectively both in a team and independently, providing high-quality, patient-centered imaging services. You will join an established, experienced team that performs a wide range of MRI procedures, including specialized studies such as Cardiac MRI and Small Bowel Enterography.

Due to the nature of the role, flexibility in your availability throughout the week is required.

As an MRI/CT Radiographer, you will:

  • Hold a BSc degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent)
  • Possess postgraduate qualifications and/or high levels of technical knowledge (desirable)
  • Have experience in various MRI scans, including Cardiac MRI (highly desirable)
  • Demonstrate an understanding and empathetic approach to patients and staff
  • Be respectful towards all individuals, including staff, patients, and visitors
  • Have a proactive, forward-thinking work approach
  • Ensure delivery of a high-quality, sensitive, and compassionate service
  • Exhibit excellent communication and teamwork skills

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services for a varied caseload
  • Be proficient in the use of all equipment within your scope of practice
  • Work with leading practitioners using cutting-edge practices, equipment, and facilities
  • Supervise and develop junior colleagues
  • Ensure MRI safety in accordance with local rules
  • Work within IRMER guidelines and your scope of practice, adhering to HCPC codes of conduct
  • Participate in departmental audits and Quality Assurance programs
  • Support the Clinical Lead Radiographers
  • Ensure equipment safety and report faults in line with Nuffield Health policies
  • Be competent in intravenous cannulation and contrast media administration
  • Contribute to departmental policy review, updates, and implementation
  • Comply with all Nuffield Health policies and procedures
  • Maintain all records according to statutory and organizational requirements
  • Participate in the on-call rota
