Job summary

Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in London is recruiting a Principal Radiographer to lead MRI and CT services and support the move to a new Eye Health site. You will provide high-quality imaging and senior clinical leadership across Radiology, ensuring patient safety and efficient service delivery.

The role involves management as well as hands‑on radiography, coordinating workload, supervising staff, and developing imaging standards within a dynamic, research‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
• BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent.
• Postgraduate MRI qualification or 1+ year senior MRI experience.
• MRI Safety Officer (MRSO) qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead MRI and CT services to ensure high-quality imaging for ophthalmic and neurological conditions.
• Oversee daily operations in MRI/CT, organise workload and manage staff.
• Provide leadership to Radiology staff and support service development and standards.
• Ensure safety and adherence to IR(ME)R and MRI/CT protocols; monitor equipment faults and service continuity.
• Deliver clinical imaging including MRI, CT, X-ray and fluoroscopy and advise on appropriateness of studies.
