Job summary

Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a proactive leader to head the MRI service, ensuring a safe environment for staff and patients in line with MRI Safety Protocols and IR(ME)R 2024.

You will oversee day-to-day MRI operations, ensure patients are scanned within NHS Diagnostic Targets, and personally deliver high-quality MRI, CT, X-ray and fluoroscopy images for ophthalmic and neurological conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience leading an MRI service.
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety and IR(ME)R 2024 compliance.
• Ability to manage clinical and clerical teams.
• Experience in achieving NHS Diagnostic Targets.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the MRI service with a focus on safety for staff and patients.

The post holder will provide a leadership role within the MRI service ensuring a safe environment for staff and patients adhering to MRI Safety Protocols and IR(ME)R 2024.

Take responsibility for the day-to-day operations within the MRI department, ensuring patients are scanned within the NHS Diagnostic Targets.

To personally deliver high-quality MRI, CT, X-Ray & Fluoroscopy images for a range of ophthalmic and neurological conditions.

To manage the clerical team as needed to ensure smooth patient pathways which adhere to the NHS Diagnostic Target.
