Job description

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and skilled radiographer to join our team in Neuroradiology at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. It’s a great opportunity to work in MRI within a specialised hospital setting. We pride ourselves on providing excellent service to patients and expect the successful candidate to have a patient-centred approach with effective communication skills.

The department offers state-of-the-art equipment, including 3T MRI (3/4), 1.5T MRI, CT (2), Interventional MRI, angiography (2), and plain film. We have a comprehensive MRI training program to support radiographers in building on their existing MRI skills, along with support for Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Participation in extended working hours and weekends is essential; however, there is no on-call requirement. The Neuroradiology Department provides services to Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Stroke.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Being a keen team player prioritising image quality, patient care, and safety, with flexibility in working hours.
  2. Collaborating with other modalities to ensure optimal room utilisation and service efficiency, and accurately recording data on PACS and EHRS.
  3. Ensuring the safety of patients, staff, and visitors.
  4. Maintaining high standards of patient care and participating in monitoring these standards.
  5. Leading and participating in departmental activities such as Health and Safety, Audit, Research, Clinical Governance, and investigating adverse incidents and complaints.
