Job summary

Veolia Basildon is seeking an experienced operator to drive and maintain Telehandlers and shovels, and to lead a team of pickers on site. You will help ensure productivity targets are met and oversee unloading waste, loading bales, and moving materials around the site.

Role requires licences for loading shovel, 360 grab, and clamp truck, plus a basic IT knowledge. Desirable: background in recycling or waste management. Basildon location with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Loading Shovel, 360 grab and clamp truck licences required.
• Basic IT knowledge.
• Desirable: experience in recycling and waste management.

Responsibilities

• Drive and maintain telehandler and shovel.
• Manage a team of pickers.
• Meet productivity targets set by the Business Manager.
• Unload waste, load bales, and move waste around site.
• Feed hoppers and ensure health & safety and company policies.
• Build good relationships with suppliers visiting site.
