Citi Benchmark Administration ("BAT"), as a part of Citi Global Markets’ Markets Quantitative Analysis division ("Citi MQA"), independent from "CIS", is responsible for implementing index ideas in the form of investable indices, testing index methodologies, benchmark determination, and dissemination processes, which include ongoing calculation, publication, and maintenance of benchmarks. BAT is a global team with offices in London, Hong Kong, Mumbai, New York, and Buffalo.

What you’ll do
  1. Implement new index models alongside structuring and other quant analysts.
  2. Work on improving and managing Python-based analytics and index libraries.
  3. Gain expert understanding of index structures across one or multiple asset classes.
  4. Improve benchmark index and risk control processes.
  5. Understand and demonstrate risk control aspects of data management, index calculation, and reconciliation processes.
  6. Collaborate with/support teammates and stakeholders in other regions.
  7. Work with colleagues and technology partners to further develop a multi-asset calculation platform.
  8. Support governance, audit, and regulatory aspects of the business.
  9. Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance, timely escalation, and ethics.
  10. Assess risk/reward of transactions, considering the firm’s reputation.
  11. Ensure compliance with laws and regulations, uphold ethical standards, and manage control issues transparently.
What we’ll need from you
  • For this role, we are looking for a junior profile.
  • Programming experience in Python is essential.
  • Knowledge of financial markets is preferred.
