Are you ready to take your mechanical skills trackside? Balfour Beatty has anexciting opportunityfor aMulti-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) Fitterto join our dynamic Rail team inTonbridge. This is your chance to work with cutting-edge rail maintenance technology, ensuring our MPVs are running at peak performance to keep the UK rail network moving.

What's on offer?

  • 35-hour work week +overtime opportunities
  • Day shiftsfrom April to September
  • Rotating shiftsfrom October to March

What you'll be doing

  • Maintain and Repair MPV and modules in-line with Company Policies.
  • Maintenance and custody of all documentation.
  • Carry out fault finding and subsequent repair of mechanical andelectrical systems.
  • Carry out as required verbal and written reports on faults, repairs,maintenance, accidents and incidents.
  • As part of a team develop initiatives to improve the quality, productivity, reliability andavailability of MPV's and Modules.
  • Training and Professional Development as required.
  • Any other Duties as directed by your Line Management.

Who we're looking for

Essential:

  • NVQ level 3 or higher in Mechanical Engineering or similar in a relevant field.
  • Undertake road vehicle driving as required.
  • Ability to work to Maintenance programme timescales/deadlines.
  • Must meet and maintain the appropriate medical standard for the position.

Desirable:

  • Personal Track Safety certification.
  • Successfully completed Dual Trade skills competency assessment for Mechanical / Electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of and experience in the Rail industry.
