JOB DESCRIPTION

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am an 88 year old gentleman living in the Gilfach Goch area. I used to travel a lot and have been many places. I love animals and have 3 dogs, one cat and a chinchilla. These days I tend to watch a lot of TV including history programmes, I am really interested in programmes about war.

I require a PA to help with personal care, some tasks will be worked as double handed with my current PA. I also require support in the community and would like to go on walks with my PA to the local area. The PA will have to assist me with my wheelchair.

PURPOSE OF JOB

Personal care and support in the community.

HOURS OF WORK

14 hours of personal care available.

3 hours social call.

2 PA’s to split the weekly hours and cover annual leave etc.

7 days a week 30 minute calls 4 times a day.

Weekend work

RATES OF PAY

£13.30 per hour

ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four weekly and appropriate holiday pay given.

The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).
