Job Description:

Role Purpose

Capital projects often underperform in budget, schedule, and value. Stakeholders lack confidence in project performance, and the transition to business-as-usual often fails to leverage data and insights. Data can enable improvement through automation, digitalisation, and AI, which are now commonplace.

Capturing quality data to gain a competitive edge and enable intelligence-led decision-making is a challenge. Our Major Projects Advisory (MPA) team provides clarity to Boards, Executives, and senior leaders on complex project delivery across sectors like Utilities, Power, Energy, Transport, and more.

We are a diverse team of 100+ industry experts committed to positive change and transparency. We partner with clients to maximise value through investments and transformations, covering project management, commercial, ESG, and technology.

We are strengthening our digital, data, and insights capabilities to enhance our client offerings.

This role seeks an ambitious Associate Director to improve project delivery confidence using data, analytics, and visualization.

You should have a balance of understanding data systems and applying them creatively to create client value. You will translate complex problems into understandable components and work closely with leadership and clients to develop our services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop data and insights propositions to enhance project delivery.
  • Manage teams in deploying digital capabilities and identify new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with global networks and develop tools and methodologies.
  • Work with technology teams to develop proofs of concept.
  • Build partnerships with third-party providers.
  • Interpret and challenge systems architecture.
  • Create value-led information management and decision-making structures.

Leadership & Management

  • Lead project teams, support business development, manage quality, risk, and finances, and mentor junior staff.

Stakeholder Interaction

  • Engage with clients, facilitate workshops, support proof of concept deployment, and manage change.

Impact & Governance

  • Influence the growth strategy, impact client reputation, and manage engagement finances.

Experience & Skills:

  • Experience managing consultancy or client assignments.
  • Experience with data, analytics, and insights in infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of information management strategies.
  • Understanding of infrastructure environments and security requirements.
  • Innovative thinking demonstrated.

Desirable:

  • Experience with enterprise data platforms, complex change programs, or sectors outside construction.

Technical Skills:

  • Understanding of Data Modelling and Solution Architecture.
  • Knowledge of project delivery in infrastructure contexts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power BI, and Azure.

Core Skills:

  • Excellent communication, ability to simplify complex concepts, manage multiple projects, and work proactively.

Work Environment & Benefits:

We offer flexible working options, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, pension, bonuses, health insurance, and more.

We value individuality and support work-life balance, including for those returning from a career break. We encourage applications from all backgrounds.
