Job summary
A leading manufacturing company in the UK is seeking an experienced professional to support their Mould Shop team. You will be responsible for facilitating process improvements, conducting trials, and ensuring adherence to quality standards. Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in Injection Moulding.
- Practical experience of processes, materials, and methods employed within a Mould Shop.
Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated support to the Mould Shop team.
- Facilitate NPI and Process Improvement projects.
- Champion Process and Procedural Standardisation.
- Conduct mould trials to meet production standards.
- Ensure Process and Quality documentation is accurate.
- Provide training and coaching on new processes.

What you'll do:
To provide dedicated process, technical, and continuous improvement support to the Mould Shop team and the wider business.
To liaise closely with the Team Leader, Quality, CI, and Production departments to facilitate NPI, In-sourcing, and Process Improvement projects.
Champion Process and Procedural Standardisation within the Mould Shop.
Identify and implement opportunities for Continuous Improvement through use of analytical and problem-solving methodologies.
Conduct mould trials and ensure tools and mouldings (new or modified) meet acceptable production standards.
Liaise with Toolroom & Maintenance to ensure machine TPM schedules are adequately implemented and adhered-to
Validate accuracy of BOMs and Routings and expedite their update where necessary.
Ensure Process and Quality documentation is present, accurate, and adhered-to
Provide training and coaching where new or modified processes, materials, and procedures are introduced.
Work closely with Team Leader and Supervisors to ensure Production KPIs are achieved.
Provide cover for Team absence due to sickness, holidays, etc. when necessary.
Communicate problems affecting the role or responsibilities to Team Leader
Qualifications:
GCSEs; English, Maths, Science
At least 5 years Injection Moulding knowledge / experience.
Skills:
Basic concepts of Statistical Process Control, Basic understanding of SAP or similar ERP system, Working knowledge of Lean Principles, Problem Solving, & Process Standardisation.
Practical experience of processes, materials, & methods employed within a Mould Shop.
