Job description
Role & responsibilities
  • Design and develop 2D/3D models of injection moulds, dies, and tools for medical device components.
  • Collaborate with product design and production teams to ensure mould designs meet functional, dimensional, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and DFM (Design for Manufacturing) analysis for new products.
  • Select appropriate materials, cooling systems, gate types, and ejector mechanisms for moulds.
  • Create detailed engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with vendors or in-house tool room for mould fabrication and validation.
  • Troubleshoot and modify existing moulds to improve performance or resolve production issues.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and other relevant quality and safety standards.
  • Participate in mould trials, validation, and process qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ
Preferred candidate profile
  • Strong understanding of injection moulding processes, tooling design, and manufacturing techniques.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo / Pro-E, Siemens NX / Unigraphics (preferred).
  • Knowledge of CAM tools and CNC programming principles is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and plastic material properties.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and manufacturing documentation.
  • Problem-solving skills with attention to precision and detail.
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities across cross-functional teams
