Job summary

North East Surrey College of Technology (NESCOT) is recruiting a Motor Vehicle Lecturer to join our Motor Vehicle Centre, which is equipped with nine vehicle ramps and the latest equipment for tyre changing, balancing and alignment.

You will teach in a variety of learning environments, act as course leader for City & Guilds Level 1 and IMI Level 2, and help develop Motor Vehicle and Motor Sport courses while supporting learners to reach their maximum potential.

Qualifications

• Experience in Motor Vehicle with a recognised City & Guilds or IMI Level 3 qualification.
• Experience with Electric Vehicle hybrid technologies.
• Teaching experience or assessor award is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Teach and train students in a variety of learning environments.
• Act as course leader for City & Guilds Level 1 and IMI Level 2 within the college.
• Assist the department management team to develop Motor Vehicle and Motor Sport courses, including new short courses.
• Support college race team principal at student motor sport events as required.
• Guide, motivate and encourage learners to achieve outstanding results.
• Assist with quality monitoring activities to ensure delivery of high-level teaching.
• Provide support and opportunities for students and clients to achieve their maximum potential.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience in Motor Vehicle with a recognised qualification in City & Guilds or IMI (Level 3)
• Experience with Electrical Vehicle hybrid
• Teaching experience or assessor award is highly desirable but not essential
• A passion for high standards, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven experience of providing outstanding support for learners.
