Job summary

Morgan Hunt is recruiting for a Motor Vehicle Lecturer to join a Further Education College in Wolverhampton. This full-time, ongoing role involves delivering practical and theory-based motor vehicle teaching, supporting learners and maintaining records.

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualifications in Motor Vehicle Studies or a related discipline.
  • Strong industry experience within the Motor Vehicle sector.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality learning experiences.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one.
  • Previous teaching, training, assessing, or mentoring experience.
  • A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, Certificate in Education or equivalent.
  • Candidates without a teaching qualification may be considered if they have significant industry experience and are willing to work towards a teaching qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering high-quality teaching and training within Motor Vehicle programmes.
  • Preparing and delivering engaging lessons that combine theory and practical learning.
  • Assessing student work and monitoring learner progress.
  • Providing academic and pastoral support to students.
  • Maintaining accurate student records and documentation.
  • Supporting curriculum development to ensure programmes meet current industry standards.
  • Promoting safe working practices within workshop environments.
  • Encouraging students to achieve their full potential and progress into employment or further study.

Contract: Full-Time, Ongoing (subject to college requirements)

Hours: Monday to Friday, up to 35 hours per week
