Job Description:

The GM Motorsports Program is seeking a Race Strategy Analyst to develop race strategy tools and support teams during Sportscar events. The role involves merging existing AI/ML-based tools for IndyCar and NASCAR and adapting them for WEC and IMSA series, contributing to the development of advanced race strategy software.

Responsibilities include applying data science techniques, developing simulation platforms, creating tire degradation models, visualizing insights, and collaborating across teams to implement and refine strategy tools for live race events.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related fields, with 7+ years of motorsports experience, proficiency in Python or MATLAB, and knowledge of AI/ML techniques. Preferred skills include tire modeling, simulation workflows, machine learning libraries, and big data tools.

This position requires reporting to Concord, NC, at least three times a week and flexibility for weekend events. Travel within the US is expected up to 10%. The role may offer relocation benefits.
