Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Mechatronics Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department. Your primary responsibility will be to develop mechatronic systems that enhance the productivity and capabilities of our aerodynamics development processes for both motorsport and high-performance production vehicles. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to design, develop, and optimize solutions to technical challenges, contributing significantly to our competitiveness.

You will collaborate cross-functionally with partners and help shape the future of motorsports.

What You’ll Do:
  • Design, develop, and integrate complex mechatronic systems for automotive and aerodynamic testing applications.
  • Create detailed system architectures and specifications.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to develop innovative solutions.
  • Liaise with external suppliers, evaluate, and select components and technologies.
  • Conduct system testing, analysis, and debugging to ensure functionality and performance.
  • Oversee prototype and production solutions, including mechanical design, PCB layout, firmware/software integration, and testing.
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and presentations for stakeholders.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechatronics engineering.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software integration.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, CATIA).
  • Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and programming languages (C, C++, Python).
  • Hands-on experience with sensors, actuators, control systems, and power electronics.
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment, with strong organizational and communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with automotive, motorsports, or aerodynamics testing.
  • Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Expertise in CAD and mechanical design.
  • Knowledge of control systems and theory.
