Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Mechatronics Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department. Your primary responsibility will be to develop mechatronics systems that enhance the productivity and capabilities of our aerodynamics development processes for both motorsport and high-performance production vehicles. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing solutions to tackle challenging technical and engineering obstacles, significantly contributing to our competitiveness.

You will work cross-functionally with partners and help shape the future of motorsports.

What You’ll Do
  • Design, develop, and integrate complex mechatronic systems for automotive and aerodynamic testing applications.
  • Create detailed system architectures and specifications that meet or exceed requirements.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to create innovative solutions.
  • Work with external suppliers to evaluate and select components and technologies.
  • Conduct system-level testing, analysis, and debugging to ensure functionality and performance.
  • Oversee delivery of prototypes and production solutions, including mechanical design, PCB layout, firmware/software integration, and testing.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and specifications to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechatronics engineering with a proven track record.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software integration.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, CATIA).
  • Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and programming languages (C, C++, Python).
  • Hands-on experience with sensors, actuators, control systems, and power electronics.
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment, with strong organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with automotive, motorsports, or aerodynamics testing.
  • Familiarity with system simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink).
  • Expertise in CAD and mechanical design.
  • Knowledge of control systems and theory.
