Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Mechatronics Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department at General Motors. This onsite role requires reporting to Concord, NC, full-time.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design, develop, and integrate complex mechatronic systems for automotive and aerodynamic testing.
  • Create detailed system architectures and specifications.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers.
  • Coordinate with external suppliers for component selection.
  • Conduct system testing, analysis, and debugging.
  • Oversee prototype and production solutions, including mechanical design, PCB layout, and software integration.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechatronics engineering.
  • Strong understanding of multidisciplinary system design.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, CATIA).
  • Experience with embedded systems and programming languages (C, C++, Python).
  • Hands-on experience with sensors, actuators, and control systems.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree, experience in automotive/motorsports testing, familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink, and advanced CAD skills.
